Synergi launches Fronius integration to scale PV fleet flexibility

September 8, 2026

Fronius is one of Europe’s leading solar inverter brands, found on everything from household rooftops to commercial and industrial plants. For utilities and asset managers building flexibility portfolios on the residential and C&I side, Synergi’s new cloud-to-cloud integration with Fronius inverters allows them to aggregate and control PV fleets as a single unit.

Synergi’s new Fronius integration is built in-house on Fronius Flexibility API, the official interface for remote control and monitoring of Fronius fleets via Solar.web. With the new integration, Fronius fleets can be onboarded to Synergi’s PV Manager and aggregated with Synergi’s VPP engine via API/MQTT, ready for dispatch from a utility’s trading desk or control system.

What the Fronius x Synergi integration enables

  • Cloud-to-cloud onboarding: Fronius fleets connect through Fronius Solar.web credentials with an OAuth-based authorisation flow. Onboarding a fleet only requires Fronius account credentials. Forget about extra hardware or complex installations.
  • VPP aggregation: Connect Fronius plants to the rest of your fleet into a single controllable portfolio in Synergi’s VPP engine, dispatched via a single API or MQTT feed from your own trading desk or control system.
  • Remote curtailment: Send a curtailment command during negative price hours or grid congestion directly from your control system. Commands are time-bounded, so a plant returns to normal operation on its own even if nothing else happens.
  • Event-driven confirmation: The integration is push-based rather than polling-based. Connection status, command status, and generation data stream to Synergi from Fronius as they happen, so you always know an inverter has actually responded rather than assuming it did.
  • Residential and C&I in one integration: The same connection covers household systems and commercial & industrial sites, for both single-inverter and multi-inverter setups across the Fronius Tauro and Symo GEN24 families.
  • Fleet-wide telemetry and monitoring: Generation output, plant status, and fault visibility across every connected site, in one view.

A growing roster of in-house integrations

Distributed solar portfolios are made up of multiple inverter brands. With our cloud-to-cloud-only connectivity solution for residential and C&I sites, we are providing an opportunity to remotely control multi-inverter brand fleets where hardware retrofits are costly and slow.

If your portfolio includes Fronius inverters, whether commercial rooftops, household systems, or both, and you want them working as flexible capacity rather than passive generation, we’d like to show you how Synergi’s PV Manager and VPP engine can help.
